Why isn’t there an International Men’s Day? Isn’t this a discrimination itself? Or is it to admit that women are oppressed and this day will remind people that she’s there?! Why don’t we bear in mind that we are all the same as the Qur’an tells us and no one is superior to another human being, except in the quality of taqwa? It is obvious that even in the Qur’an the speech is also equally directed to both men and women.
” The early church spent a considerable amount of time making up its mind as to whether women actually possessed a soul. The Qur’an, on the other hand, made it abundantly clear that men and women are of equal worth, and that both are equally capable of spiritual success and of being rewarded accordingly” (Khattab, Bent Rib, 2010)
And in the Qur’an, Allah says: “For Muslim men and women,- for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in Charity, for men and women who fast (and deny themselves), for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah’s praise,- for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward.” (Qur’an 33:35)
They say that muslim women are forced to wear Al-Hijab, married too soon, not having a chance to complete their education, having their own jobs and traveling alone.
They didn’t know that the reason behind wearing Al-Hijab is not just to cover their bodies, yet it’s an overall state of being. And that to let all people know that she is a Muslim who her values are known in which she will be treated upon. Muslim women is like a diamond and even more. She is a servant of Allah, who dresses to please Allah. They don’t know that women in Islam have the right to have full property land and to conduct their own businesses.
Allah (swt) gave women their rights. He created them and he knows very well what is good and what is bad for these soft creatures. One bounty of Allah bestowed to all women in the world is that Islam came and raised women up. Babies in Islam have the right to have lovely names and to be treated very well. Girls in Islam have the right to wear Al-Hijab, to educate and to work. Muslim women have the right to seek employment and have a job and keep her own income. Her prefects are responsible to take care after her in all conditions. She’s treated as a Queen. Mothers in Islam are, also, highly respected and this is represented in the Hadith of Mohammed (pbuh).
Abu Hurairah (R) reported that a person came to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and asked: “Who among people is the most deserving of my fine treatment?” He (pbuh) replied: “Your mother.” He then asked, “Who next?” The Prophet (pbuh) replied: “Your mother.” He asked again: “Who next?” He (pbuh) said again, “Your mother.” He again asked, “Then who?” He (pbuh) said: “Your father.” [Sahih Bukhari]
There is no one on this earth, more beautiful than a Muslim woman. And she who has all this respect and care and rights does not need an international day for people to remember her. Her lord (Allah) mentioned her in the Qur’an the greatest book on the earth, and this is surely enough.
