Starting in Qatar, ending in Gaza!

Baraa Nizar Rayyan writes about Boycotting Qatar at alJazeera blogs (in Arabic) He says that what’s happening is begining in Doha and will be ending in Gaza. He is not optimistic of the situation saying that the main target is to eliminate Hamas!
He says that what the area is going through indicates that there might be a near ‘war’ on Gaza that lets nothing remain and leaves nothing unburned. And after the rockets eat our childrens bodies, Gaza people will then count their enemies again, seeing more faces [Arabs] this time, as he mentioned.
Baraa, the son of the Muslim scholar and well known Hamas leader- the Martyr, Nizar Rayaan, lost 17 members of his family all in one moment! Rayyan family was deliberately targeted by the Israeli occupation on the Jan 1st, 2009, and they were all killed at once while they were inside their house.
I personally know this beautiful family. I would say that the family’s death is a big loss not only for Palestine yet for all the Muslim Ummah.
May Allah grant the Muslim ummah patience to endure all that that is happening and replace the leaders of our Muslim countries with leaders who can be real representives of their people, establish the truth and abolish falsehood. Ya Allah make us not go through a 4th ‘Israeli’ agression as Palestinians are still living the suffering after the 3rd ‘isreali’ agreession on Gaza, summer 2014!

The world is going crazy. I am personally afraid of what might happen. However, I am reminding myself of this great calming verse of the Qur’an:

“Those to whome hypocrites said, “Indeed, the people have gathered against you, so fear them.” But it [merely] increased them in faith, and they said, “Sufficent for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs.”
Qur’an Surah Aal Imran 173

Syria: a dairy of pain

During the first Isreali occupation aggression on Gaza, 2008, my family spent about 23 hours in our flat surronded with more than 17 ‘Israeli’ bulldozers and tanks … We had no choice to escape otherwise we would be shot dead! Many bombs were thrown towards our building.

Flame of fire reached the fourth floor – where we were staying – curtains caught fire, the windows glass smashed and broke, and no way to put out this fire. We used white cloth to breath air, no place to protect us from smoke. It was everywhere.
We were waiting to die at any moment, every voice of bombs we used to hear from one side, make us move to the other side, thinking wrongly, it would be safer! Electronic wires were cut, transmitter station was ruined. The soldiers opened fire on water drums and barrels of water with apertures everywhere. Minutes later, we would find no water, no light and no communication network, but few candles and some water, mum has saved for need.

We didn’t even have the chance to call any of our family members to tell them that we are still alive. No ambulances were able to reach the place as well.

The thing I remember very well is the prayers we did while facing all this, the trust that we had in Allah, that He has the ability to save us, and the ONLY One Who can save us from oppressors and NO ONE ELSE! Hitting #KhanShaykhoun with chemical attack is targeting the whole of humanity! Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. Seeing pictures of children dying infront of their families was so very shocking! Our children may be next!

To my brothers and sisters in #KhanShaykhoun, I know that what you’re facing is far more miserable than the three aggressions I experianced, however, remember that Allah is ENOUGH for you, He knows what’s going on and who is doing what. Don’t despair from Allah’s mercy! And remember, “Those whose faith only increased when people said to them, ‘People have gathered against you, so fear them,’ and who replied, ‘God is enough for us: He is the best protector,’ returned with grace and bounty from God; no harm befell them. They pursued God’s good pleasure. God’s favour is great indeed.” Qur’an 3:173-174

Another ‘war’ is yet to come?

“Gaza is under heavy attacks!” This is what you will hear from Gaza children. They know very well what it means. They know that they might have to leave their homes. They know that they might die..They know… !!

In the news: Israeli tanks launched three missiles in the middle of Gaza strip. Zionist warplanes fired flares east of Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip. Palestinian factions: Occupation forces are responsible for the military escalation in Gaza Strip. Israeli airstikes continues on Gaza, now more than 19 airstrike!

 And this…

I have nothing to say, nothing more to share. I only hope that I won’t go through a fourth death experiance…

Pray for Gaza, friends. 💔

Gaza Dark-iology

Now it’s switched off! Yes I am using “switching” here, because they do it intentionally! There are some good solutions suggested to the electricity problem in Gaza but “these options are currently on hold due to political reasons” – as they always explain and mention in the news and yet more political games to be played!

Hmm, that means that we’ll see the electricity after another 20 hours. It’s January and it reaches 8ْ  in the evening and there is no heating system. Even if we have, it will be left unused – for there will be no power to run it. My family has two electrical heaters that we use during the four hours electricity and another two kerosene heaters that we don’t use during the last few years because it’s not available.

According to IMEU: Institute for Middle East Understanding, “Palestinians in Gaza rely on Gaza for cooking, heating and industrial use. The Gaz needed is 400 tons per day but the gaz allowed by Israel is 250 tons or less!”

With the rolling 20-hours blackouts every day, Gaza’s 2 million Palestinians are left in the dark — and cold. I don’t know how those who are living in tents and caravans are enduring all this! Or do Gaza people have to cope with this matter and live on with life the rest of their lives?

I work online, and I study online as well. I think that my ordinary activities that I am supposed to do with comfort are becoming increasingly difficult. Today, I went to a near academic institution to charge my laptop and devices simply because I forgot to charge them the night before. The electricity came after I have had gone asleep! It’s funny right! They say, “the worst disaster is the one that brings laughter”

So what do I usually do I usually do in these 4 hours of electricity? Do the laundry? Or to turn on the water heater? To charge your devices? To have a warm bath in this very cold weather? Or to just to relax and sit next to a heater? Or to do your homework? I do not know how exactly I do all this and even more to utilize these four hours fully! I am not alone at home. This means that I might wait days until I put my laundry in the washing machine! I sometimes don’t know how to prioritize when everything is important! Other times I leave everything doing nothing just enjoying an hours or two watching the TV.

I lost a scholarship to study International Business in Scotland because of the imposed siege and closed borders. My family and I were planning to perform Umrah this January but Gaza people are not allowed to go this year. I had no choice but to postpone one of my semesters because I wasn’t able to leave my house to do my final exams in the local exam center – during the 2014 miserable Israeli aggression!

I don’t know when all this will stop, when will the Israeli blockade, which is illegal,  be lifted?!!
